Bermuda Triangle miths
Bermuda triangle miths
The Bermuda Triangle is made up of 1.1 and a half million square kilometers offshore within an (imaginary) equilateral triangle formed by the tips of the Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Miami islands in Florida, United States.
This imaginary triangle contains a secret within it: hundreds of ships have disappeared, almost a hundred planes and thousands of people.
Some legends have been established under the Bermuda triangle to "explain" the phenomenon that happens there, for example, the presence of black holes, aliens, the Kraken, Atlantis, etc.
But for science, the most logical reasons would be the following:
- Human wrongs
- Meteorology in the area: presence of typhoons and hurricanes
- Magnetic variations and electronic fog (some reality, some fiction). The latter was coined by 2 pilots who survived passing through the triangle, who stated that an electronic vortex in the middle of a thick fog collided with the wings of their plane. Due to this electronic fog, all the technological devices of the apparatus broke down, leaving them aimless and without vision; but, 75 minutes later, they appeared in an area of Miami where it was impossible to be in such a short time.
- Blue holes: vertical caves of thousands years that exist in the area and that create very strong currents that are capable of sending large ships adrift
- Methane explosions: in some very deep craters there would be large concentrations of methane gas, which together with the heat of the tropical waters and that of the ships themselves would cause this methane to explode, forming not only virulent ocean currents but also destroying ships and boats as if they were made of paper.
There is data that this happened to Christopher Columbus himself on his trip to the new continent. As he passed through the area, on October 8, 1492, the compasses "wrote" and stopped setting the course.
The theories are many, from the most paranormal to the most scientific, but none that solves this enigma.
I didn't know about what happened in the Cristobal Colon's expedition on October 8, 1492, although is a fact that the magnetic variations can affect the compasses, it still sound very strange.
